Changing the Face of Education!
The World Peace Passport's Schools Program is the first global educational initiative to connect students around the world in a common study of cultural understanding.
Imagine students from different countries around the world - regardless of location, socio-economic status, race, religion, gender or other factors - all studying the same curriculum! Imagine them connecting with each other, learning from each other and sharing their lives, hopes and dreams! Imagine how well prepared they are as adults, to work with each other successfully to overcome problems and achieve common goals!
The World Peace Passport (WPP) makes this possible through:
- A self-contained study program in cultural understanding for Kindergarten through Grade 8, or equivalent, that can be implemented by any school or youth related organization anywhere in the world.
- A Global Learning Community online created through our partnership with the Oracle Education Foundation. This safe secure online learning environment allows classrooms studying the WPP curriculum to connect, exchange information and initiate joint projects. Teachers will be able to download educational materials, share experiences and provide feedback to curriculum developers. This online presence is being developed in stages, to be fully operational by January, 2008. Schools without online connectivity will be connected through more traditional means.
If you are a school looking for a fresh new approach to preparing your students to become effective global citizens, this program is for you!
